The OCIC for Children and Teens is a process whereby children who have reached the age of reason may request to receive the sacraments of initiation—Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation—from the Church. They spend time in study, prayer and worship so they are able to discern if they would like to receive the sacraments.

Each child/teen will need a Sponsor to walk this journey with them. The sponsor is required to be a practicing Catholic who has received the sacraments of initiation and if married, married in the Church. They are required to attend all of the rehearsals and liturgies. If the sponsor is unable to attend a proxy may step in for those rehearsals and liturgies.

We meet weekly in the Pastoral Center for Faith Formation.  Children, along with their parents and Godparents/Sponsors, are asked to attend required liturgies.
