We are so proud of our Stella Maris students!

On behalf of our pastor, Fr. Pat, and the entire parish at Mary Star of the Seas, we would like to congratulate our students at Stella Maris Academy for performing outstandingly and earning 1st place at the Academic Decathlon. Congratulations to the entire staff, faculty and especially to Mrs. Zach for all her hard work!

We’ve loved seeing familiar and new faces at our Summer Bible study sessions. We will resume on Wednesday August 3rd. Be sure to join us from 6-7:30pm with refreshments at 5:30pm.

We couldn’t be more PROUD that our pastor, Fr. Pat, was honored this weekend with the Good Shepherd Award at the 8th Annual SD Catholic Educators Awards Banquet. Fr. Pat is so deserving of this special distinction that celebrates a member of clergy who is a phenomenal model of discipleship, truth and courage.

We are so proud of our Stella Maris Academy students who have taken on the cutest project ever, with a local La Jolla photographer, to narrate a real-life story about a nest of baby hummingbirds they encountered. Read more below!

Our 3 day parish mission with Dr. D’Ambrosio fostered beautiful fellowship. We learned about the Eucharist and it’s central place in our lives. The insights and theology shared with us is a beautiful transition to Advent coming up… Thank you to all who joined us!

Our first two nights gathering with Dr. D’Ambrosio went well! We love hearing from Dr. D’Ambrosio in person, after watching him in our Bible Study videos last summer. What a treat! God is good!
